Knowing your strengths and weaknesses is important as it can help you make better informed choices in life. For example, if you know your strengths you can focus on involving them in your career. Many people overestimate or underestimate their strengths and weaknesses meaning they make poor choices in life, so it’s important to be accurate as possible when identifying them.
Be More Self-Aware
Aim to generally be more in tune with yourself. There are many techniques that can help your self awareness. For example, you could keep a diary or a notepad jotting down your thoughts and feelings in different situations over an extended period of time. You can also practice mindfulness meditation which helps to bring one’s attention to experiences occurring in the moment.
Examine How Your Actions Effect Others
It’s important to carefully consider your actions and the resulting effect on people around you, before you go ahead with the action. Put yourself in their position and consider: how would you feel if you were in their place? If the action is necessary, consider how you can help others deal with the effects.
